Robert Runyan has owned and operated RFR Properties since 1994. The company has evolved from its initial focus of providing corporate real estate services, to a successful boutique commercial brokerage firm to its current emphases as a small commercial development company. Prior to establishing RFR Properties, Mr. Runyan was manager of Corporate Real Estate and Development for US Bancorp. For a period of seven years he guided the fast growing corporation through many mergers and acquisitions. He was responsible for establishing new regional headquarters throughout Washington, delivery of over 40 new bank branches and disposing of surplus properties. His corporate experience also includes two years in trust real estate. He began his real estate career in the 80’s and experienced first hand the boom and bust oil economy in Alaska. Those early lessons became invaluable. Mr. Runyan attended Western Washington University and majored in Business Finance. He is a past CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member), past president of the Northwest NACORE Chapter (National Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives) and is a licensed real estate broker in Idaho. Gwen Runyan- Ms. Runyan is a past CPA (Certified Public Accountant) specializing in construction and real estate accounting and income tax planning and preparation. She has been RFR Properties Controller and Treasurer since 1996. From 1986 through 1995 she was the Controller and Treasurer for Cree Construction Company in Seattle, Washington. Her financial accounting skills earned her partnership interest. Prior to joining Cree Construction she was Controller of GDM Architects, Inc. She began her career as a public accountant with KMG Main Hurdman. Ms. Runyan is past Chairperson of the Tax and Fiscal Affairs Committee for the Seattle Association of General Contractors and past board member of the Construction Financial Managers Association. She is a graduate of Western Washington University cum laude. |
